Mindhop
This was a final group project for our PHP class. We made a social media platform (think of a cross between "X" and Reddit) using laravel. more
Mindhop is definitely one of the projects I had the most fun working on.

Budget/Debt tracker
This is an application I made to help keep track of how much money I need in which bank account and when. I also implemented a "debt tracker" to tell how much I need to pay off.

This was a lab for one of my classes, this was the final lab that really incorporated React components and working with an API. I enjoyed working on it and it really encompassed everything we learned into one project.

About Me
Hi, I'm Melody. I grew up in Nova Scotia and only moved to Ontario in 2021. I have a BSc in Psychology and Biology, but during my time studying for that I realized I had a love for web development. I wanted to drop out of university to pursue going to college for web development, but my friends and family convinced me to finish my degree. Nonetheless, I finished my degree and then went to school for web development. and I loved every second of it.
Where it all started
I started getting interested in web development in 2015 making tumblr themes. It mostly consisted of some HTML, css, and (mostly copied) javascript. At the time I wasn't aware that HTML/css/javascript was a career that someone could do, I just thought of it as a fun hobby that I enjoyed doing and wanted to learn more about. It wasn't until I started university that I had learned that HTML/css/javascript was the beginnings of web development. So I started looking into how to become a web developer, and well, here I am.
